緒言

　比較的長期にわたり徐々に視力障碍を呈し，失明，眼球摘出後，組織標本により診断確定せる若年者のコーツ氏病1例と併せて短期間にて失明せる2例を経験したので報告いたします。

Recently, the author observed 3 patients with Coats' disease. One of them was a girl aged 15 years. She was affected by a severe intraocular hypertension on the eye which had no vision. Then the eye was enucleated, and was examined histologically. Histolo-gical diagnosis proved to be Coats' disease. In the other 2 patients, the author observed marked exudations, aneurisms in the ocular fundus by the ophthalmoscopic examinations and diagnosed their illness as Coats' disease. By physical examinations all three patients had no other abnormalities.
