円錐角膜の病理組織所見

Histology of keratoconus

序言

　円錐角膜は古くから知られた疾患で，内外とも多数の報告例があるが，その原因を始め初発症状に就ても定説はない。又組織的変化の報告は1859年Bowmanが初めて記載して以来，Salzmann1908, 1922, Erdmann 1910,Uhthoff1916，Vogt1937, 1939, Terry and Chisholm 1940の数氏に過ぎない。之は本症はかなり増悪しても容易に眼球別出の対称とならない事によると思われる。最近Katzin and Teng 1956は65例に及ぶ角膜移植に際して得られた本症角膜片の組織変化について記載した。しかし本邦では未だ本症の組織変化について記載したものはないようである。著者は最近角膜移植の行われた本症患者数例の角膜を得る事が出来たので，その組織変化について報告したい。

The material consisted of discs of pathologic corneas removed from patients with kera-toconus by keratoplasty and fixed immediately in 10% neutral formol solution, and then embedded in paraffin. The fixed tissue was sectioned serially and stained with hema-toxylin and eosin or Van-Gieson stain.

1. Rupture of Descemet's membrane in 4 cases.

2. All features found in these series were of degenerative changes and those findings support Teng & Katzin's opinion.
