I．緒言

　眼科領域に於いては，従来種々のサルフア剤が抗生物質と並んで各種眼科的疾患の予防・治療に使用されている。最近長時間有効血中濃度を持続する特長のある新サルフア剤が相次いで考案されているが，我々は此の度塩野義製薬より新サルフア剤シノミン注射液の提供を受けたので，眼科領域の各種疾患の予防・治療に試用し次の様な成績を得たので発表する次等である。

We treated various ocular diseases (hordeolum: 10, epidemic keratoconjunctivitis: 6, idio-pathic uveitis: 2, prevention of infection in postoperative cases: 25) by means of intrave-nous administration of Sinomin (5-methyl-3-sulfanilamido-isoxazole). Successful results were obtained in hordeolum. Postoperative infection did not occur by the application of this drug. Idiopathic uveitis was improved much by this drug too, but the effect of sul-fadrugs for idiopathic uveitis, which is considered to be a viral disease, must be further examined.
