Ⅰ．緒言

　両側性対称性網膜嚢胞の発表はWeve以来散見されるが，最近私達はその特異例4症例，2家系を見出し，極めて興味があると考えられるので報告する。

The authers have experienced two special families to be called families with cystis retinae symmetrica bilateralis and ablatio retinae internae sym. bilat. that occur only in their male members. In these cases, the course of transition from bilateral (solitary), retinal cyst to detachment of the inner retina and the hereditary relations can be inferred, and it may be presumed that following formation of a cyst in a comparatively inner stru-cture of the retinal brain layer, a part of the retinal wall is damaged forming schisms, and thus complete of the picture specific retinal detachment.
