　網膜中心動脈血圧の測定は，各種高血圧症の臨床に於て益々重要性を増しつつある。

　現在我国で広く一般的に用いられているオフサルモダイナモメーターは，1）バイヤール氏オフサルモダイナモメーター，2）慶大式オフサルモダイナモメーター，3）新大式装置，4）慶大式電気眼底血圧計，4）ミュラー氏ディナモメーター等がある。その内バイヤール氏オフサルモダイナモメーターは，簡便で我々のクリニックに於てのみならず，病室或は患家に於ても簡単に使用することが出来る。しかし乍らこのオフナルモダイナモメーターは，その作成された当初の目的が実験的使用を目的にした為であろうか，測定範囲がせまく，例えばバイヤール長谷部の基礎眼圧直線を用いた場合，基礎眼圧25mmHgでもって122mmHgまでの網膜中心動脈血圧が測定出来るのみで，ために高血圧症の臨床に於てはしばしば測定出来ない程高い血圧に接することをその短所としている。

To cover up that the range of the original Baillart's Ophthalmodynamometer is narrower, a reformed high pressure ophthalmodynamometer is designed. As shown in the picture the reformed one is Baillart type and ranged from 150gr to 300gr. Using both the original and the reformed one, range from Zoro gr to 300gr is measurable.

As the calibration lines of these two dynamometers, Hasebe's lines are extended on the higher pressure levels. Because the experiment carried out on the rabbit eyes and a human eye showed that the increase of the intraocular pressure was proportional to the dynamo-meter pressure on the higher pressure levels too.
