緒言

　Toxoplasmaは1908年Nicolle et Mance-aux^17）が齧歯動物から，又翌1909年Splendore^27）が兎から始めて発見した細胞内寄生原虫であるが，1939年に到りWolf，Cowen＆Paige^30）によつて乳児から発見され，以来人間の病原寄生虫としても重視されるようになつた。特に近来Pinkerton＆Weinman （1940）^19）が22歳男子のToxoplasmosis罹患例を報告してから，乳幼児のみならず成人に於ても罹患の対象として考慮を要する重要な疾患となつた。

　欧米の眼科領域では網膜脈絡膜炎或は葡萄膜炎の病因として本症の重要性が認められている。場合によつては眼病変のみが本症の唯一の臨床診断の手掛りである場合も少くないと言われている。

　我国では本症の確かな罹患例が殆どないが，最近私共は臨床的には片眼の黄斑部に滲出の強い網膜炎（滲出性中心性網膜炎）の病像を呈し，脳脊髄液の動物接種によりToxoplasmaを分離し得て，病因としてToxoplasmosisを推定し得た症例を経験したので，ここに報告する。

Patient. 29-year-old man. In the macular region of his right eye there was observable an elevated, yellowish-gray exudative lesion which was about 3 disc diameters in size.The vitreous body was markedly hazy in front of the retinal lesion., X-ray of the skull showed no calcification. The skin test by toxoplasmin was negative, but the methylene blue dye test (Sabin & Feldman) was weak positive in a titer of 1 : 4.

Cerebrospinal fluid obtained from the patient was inoculated intraperitoneally into mice. The parasites identified as toxoplasma were found in the peritoneal fluids of mice of 4 th passage.
