　血圧昂進時網膜血管に変化の見られることは周知のことであるが，かかる患者に降圧剤を用いて血圧降下した場合の網膜血管に如何なる変動が見られるかは眼科医にとつてのみならず内科医にとつても興味あるところと思う。

　この様な意味で2〜3の降圧剤に就いて網膜中心動脈血圧並びに網膜血管径に及ぼす影響に就いて多少実験して見たので以下にそれらの成績を記載する。

In 4 healthy persons and 9 hypertensive patients, 4 cases of I group in Keith-Wagener's classification and 5 of II, 1 mg of Veratrum alkaloid was injected intramuscularly. The blood pressure of the central retinal artery (NAD) was measured by Mikuni's ophthalmo-dynamometer and the caliber of the retinal blood vessel by Mikuni's eye piece attached to the large simplified Gullstrand's ophthalmoscope.

1) Decreases of both the systemic blood pressure and NAD were observed. The respo-nse was more maked in the hypertensive patients than the healthy persons, in the K-W I group than II and in the systolic blood pressure than the diastolic.
