I．緒言

　緑内障の治療問題に関して，近年各種縮瞳剤，ダイアモツクスの如き優れた房水産出抑制剤，その他の薬剤の出現を見たが，手術的療法の価値は依然減少しておらず，多くは之に頼らざるを得ない現状にあるようである。

　緑内障の手術々式は多種多様であるが，何れにせよ手術の可否は，術後長期の経過に基いて検討される必要があり，文献上これについてはなお異論が多い。

Longterm prognosis (2-12 years) of operations for glaucoma were investigated and the following conclusions were obtained.

1) The improvement in post-operative vision was observed in 72.2% of glaucoma hemo-staticum acutum, 69.1 % of glaucoma hemostaticum chronicum and 60 % of glaucoma simplex, while aggrevation was observed in 11.1%, 9.5% and 10.0% respectively.

2) The improvement in long-term vision was observed in 55.6% of glaucoma hemosta-ticum acutum, 23.8% of glaucoma hemostaticum chronicum and 13.3% of glaucoma simplex, while aggrevation was observed in 38.9%, 52.4% and 80% respectively.
