低周波による混合性喉頭麻痺の一治験例

　緒言

　混合性喉頭麻痺は反回神経麻痺に多くは同側の他の脳神経麻痺を合併する時之を云うのである。尚この麻痺には中枢性のものと末梢性のものとがあるが大体は末梢性のものの方が多いと云われている。

　本症患を起して来る原因には喉頭癌，食道癌，動脈瘤，甲状腺腫，縦隔洞腫瘍，肋膜，心嚢疾患等による圧迫症状として発現して来る事もあり，或は脚気，ヂフテリー，梅毒，流行性感胃，ロイマチス，アルコール中毒等所謂末梢性神経炎を起し得る全身疾患によつて来る場合もある。然し又精査しても原因となり得る因子不明で所謂中枢性としか考えられぬ場合もある。

NAKAMURA AND KO report a case of mi-xed paralysis of the pharynx and larynx. Sym-ptoms of aphonia and difficulty in deglutition began immediately after the time when the patie-nt was severely choked in a playful feat by his opponent. Examination showed partial paralysis of the tongue with loss of taste sense in its pos-terior third. Deglutition of food was difficult.

The patient was treated with short-wave diath-ermy by which he was completely recovered in the period of 5 weeks.
