I．緒言

　水平方向の斜視矯正手術に対して，計量的に腱の前後転を行つて矯正効果の適正を計る方法は従来色六報告されているが，一部その成果には反対するものもあり，現在有効とするものと無効とするものと対立の状態にあり，結局斜視筋の機能検査法の不備によると思われる。

　然し乍ら単に手加減で手術するほど危険のことはないのは論をまたない所であり，少くとも手術の方針は，手術すべき筋を決定したらば，この斜視度に応じた計量的の予定量に目標を置いて手術することが理想であるべき事は，当然臨床上の要求であらねばならない。

An author deviced method of measuring correction in an operation of the horizontal muscles was exaplained with graphs, and the following results were disclosed.

One eye correction of rather serious squint was possible under this method in the operation of one time, and left no functional disturbances after the operation.

As the extrinsic ocular muscles show a total unbalance in the concomitant squint, the various types of squint will occur following to the combinations of the muscles.
