急性球後視束炎の一つの型について

A Type of Acute Retrobulbar Neuritis

　球後視束炎の病理に関しては，古くから多くの記載がみられるが，現在も尚，その病因及び病巣の位置が判然とせず，臨床診断として，各種の疾患を包含していると思われるけれども，球後視束炎なる症候名で一律な治療を行つている状態である。私共は数年来，球後視束炎の症例を集めて検討しているが，その中に特徴ある症状を有する一型のあることを認めた。よつて先ずその代表的な症例をあげて，その説明をしたい。

The authors found out a type with a characteristic symptom when inspecting cases of retrobulbar neuritis since a few years ago, and studied its pathogenesis and focus. The following are the results of our study :

Pathogenesis ;

1) Increment of eosinophilic leukocytes in blood

2) Abnormal tension of the autonomic nervous system (parasympathetic nerve)

3) Increment of globulin in blood

4) Effectiveness of ACTH and Cortisone

These points suggest us that the case is a kind of allergic degeneration.
