1923年アメリカのMc．clure及びAldrich両氏は生理的食塩水0.2ccを皮内に注射し，之により生ずるQuaddelの消失する迄に要する時間をQuaddel-Resorptions-zeit （Q．R．Z．）と呼び，浮腫及び潜在性浮腫のある患者に於いては，健康者に比し著しくその時間が短縮されたと述べ，其の後西洋に於いても，又我が国に於いても次の文献に示す如き各種実験が行なわれ，本試験は広義に於ける生体内の水分代謝と密接な関係がある事が実証されたのでありますが，以上の実験は主として内科小児科疾患に就て行なわれたものであり，眼科的疾患に就ては現在に至る迄未だその実験が行なわれたと云う報告をみないのであります。
そこで私は水分代謝と密接な関係があると思われる各種緑内障患者に本試験を実施し，各種緑内障患者のQ．R．Z．と正常者のQ．R．Z．との間の関係，各種緑内障患者の眼圧とQ．R．Z．との間の関係，各種緑内障患者に手術的操作を加えた際のQ．R．Z．に及ぼす影響等に就て種々考察した結果聊か興味ある結果を得ましたので報告する次第であります。
1) The arithmetical mean of the Resorption time of Papule in the normal pers on were 46.20 min. and were 45.50 min. in simple glaucoma. The Resorption time of Papuleton in congestive glaucoma were 24.36 min. shortening than normal.
2) In simple glaucoma and congestive glaucoma, the grade of intraocular pressure and the performance of surgery did not influence Resorption time of papule.
3) This test seemes to be useful for he differentiation of the kindes of glaucoma and the progress and the aim of treatments.
4) By this test, the congestive glaucoma seem to have the abnormal water metabolism in broad sense.
