（37）白内障手術の鞏角膜縫合に就て

On corneoscleral sutures of cataract surgery.

　白内障の手術は最近非常に発達したが，その主なるものは鞏角膜縫合にある。鞏角膜縫合は日本に於ては終戦後発達したが，外国に於ても1936年に私が欧米の各大学の眼科を見学した時は未だ一般には鞏角膜の縫合は行われては居なかつた。只僅かVerhoeffその他少数の人々が行つて居ると云う話は聞いたが遂に見る機会を得なかつた。

　鞏角膜縫合は大別して前置縫合と後置縫合とがあるが今では前置縫合を用いる人の方が著しく多い様である。前置縫合にも数多くの方法があり，そのいつれが一番良いかは一概に云えないが，之を更に大別して二通りの方法がある。第1はb図の如く創口に平行に針を通して縫う方法であり，第2はc図の如く創口に直角に即ち放射状に針を通して縫う方法である。第1の方法はLiegard及びStallardの方法であり，第2にはVerhoeff,Tract，McLean，井上，Lancaster,Roper等色々の方法がある。

The corneoscleral sutures are divided in preplaced sutures and postplaced sutured but at present, the former are prefered by many people.

The many methods are included in the preplaced sutures but the best method could'nt be mentioned absolutely. This methods are divided in two as follows.

The first is as Fig. B that the needle stiched prallel to the method wound. In the second method, the suture are done at right angles to the wound. The first is Liegard's and Stallard's method and the second is Veyhoeff's, Tract's, McLean's, Inotte's, Lancaster's or Rausser's method.
