　無縫合手術におけるフラウン切開後の角膜乱視と角膜形状の変化について，直線切開後の変化と比較検討した。惹起角膜乱視については，術後3,6か月の乱視量はフラウン切開群のほうが，直線切開群より有意に小さかった。角膜トポグラフィーを用いて形状変化を検討したところ，フラウン切開群では，創周辺のフラット化が広範囲かつ遷延したが，中央角膜の変化は少なかった。一方，直線切開群では，術直後より下方角膜にスティープ化が起こり，しだいに上方角膜へ広がった。結論として，フラウン切開を用いると，術後乱視も少なく，中央角膜の形状変化も小さいことが示された。

We evaluated the corneal shape and refraction after no-stitch cataract surgery using Frown incision in 80 eyes. Another 80 eyes using straight incision served as control. The corneal astigmatism at 3 and 6 months after surgery with Frown incision was significantly smaller than with control. Corneal topography showed marked and persistent flattening of the peripheral corneal after Frown incision. Changes in central cornea was insignificant. In controls, steepening of lower central cornea developed immediately after surgery and gradually involved the upper central cornea. Frown incision thus induced less corneal astigmatism and shape changes in the central cornea relative to straight incision.
