緒言

　すでに第1〜3報において，多くの点眼薬について，軟性コンタクトレンズ（以下SCLと略す）へのとり込みと放出について実験成績を報告し，各種点眼液はそれぞれ個有の性質を持つていることを示した。今回は，副腎皮質ホルモンの1つであるコーチゾンと，角膜保護剤であるコンドロン（コンドロイチン硫酸ナトリウム）について検討し，知見をえたので，ここに報告するしだいである。

The uptake and release of cortison ophthal-mic suspension (Cortone) and chondroitin so-dium sulfate ophthalmic solution (Chondron) was tested by in vitro quantitative measure-ment. Both drugs were deposited on the sur-face of the lenses presumably forming thin molecular membrane after soaking of the lens in these solutions for 48 hours. These deposits could instantly be washed away with water. The findings indicate that the tested substances do not penetrate into the soft lens material and that the clinical use of soft contact lens as carrier for them seems to be unlikely.
