I．はじめに
一次性網膜色素変性症においては，大部分の症例でERGが比較的早期から著しい振幅低下ないし消失をきたし，視力，暗順応，視野のような自覚的機能の検査成績との間に著明な不均衡を示すことが知られている。
ERGの臨床応用の初期Karpeの標準条件のような弱い光刺激で記録したERGでは，本症のほとんど全例でextinguishedであることが認められていた。
Summated photopic ERGs as well as scotopicERGs were recorded in 52 cases of primary diffuse pigment degeneration of the retina.
Photopic ERGs were summated 300 times by means of "Mediac" computer. Stimulus intensity was 2 Joules and the distance of the xenon flash bulb from the patient's eye was 10 cm. Repetition rate was 2 flashes per second.
In 73% of the cases photopic responses above 1 microvolt were obtained.
There seemed to exist some correlation bet-ween the psychophysical data and the amplitude of the photopic summed response.
