On Cornelia de Lange Syndrome;Report of Four Cases

I．緒言

　1933年Amsterdam小児科教授Cornelia de LangeはTypus Amst elodamensisと名づけて特異な顔貌（左右連続した眉毛，非常に長い睫毛，上向きの鼻孔，口角の下がつた口唇耳介低位など）および種々の先天奇型（小頭症，短肢症，合指症など），生下時低体重と発育障害，精神薄弱，眼症状などを伴つた症候群の2例を発表した。その後欧米諸国において報告され，また日本においては1963年，奥平などにより小児科集会においてなされた1例報告が最初である。現在までに世界で報告記載されているものは約100例余りであり，そのほとんどが小児科領域におけるものであり，眼科的にも興味ある症状を有しながら，記載はDuke-ElderおよびWaar—denburgらの成書のみであつたが，1966年D．H．Ni—cholsonらによつて眼科における最初の報告がなされた。また本邦では昭和43年9月，第460回東京眼科集談会において横井らが剖検例を報告した。

　従来の報告は，眼症状についてはあまり顧みられなかつたが，今回著者らは4名の患者を診察する機会を得たので，ここに報告したい。

A description is given of the occurrence of Cornelia de Lange syndrome (Typus Amstero-damensis) in four sporadic cases ( 3 females and 1 male). All of the the present 4 cases were characterized by microcephaly, short extre mities, retardation of psychosomatic develop-ment and peculiar mewing when crying as well as synophris, lang cilia and the small nose di-rected upwards. Three of the four cases were premature babies measuring between 2,000 and 2,200 grams. Pallor of the optic disc suggestive of optic atrophy was noted in 3 cases. No de-finite laboratory abnormality was confirmed.
