I．緒言

　角膜後面の硝子（様膜）〔hyaline （like） mem—brane〕は，1933年Mann^1）が自験の2例と既報の類似した3例を総括して報告した，一種の先天異常である。本症は極めて稀なものの如く，その後はMannの1例の追加の他，Magistretti（1956）^2），Collier （1962）^3）等の報告を見るにすぎず，わが国にはまだその記載がないようである。

　私は最近角膜後面の硝子様膜に，色素顆粒並びに角膜深層混濁を合併した症例を経験したので，ここに簡単に報告する。

The author observed a typical case (the first case in Japan) of congenital hyaline membrane on the posterior surface of the cornea, a nomen-clature given by Mann.

The patient is a 16-year girl, who has no consanguineous relation between her parents, and among whose siblings there is none with congenital disease. She is excessively myopic (VD = 0.01 (0.02 ×-16D)), VS = 1.0 (gl.b.n.). The right eye is about 1 mm divergent, while the intra-ocular pressure is normal. The radius of curvature of the cornea of the right eye is extremely small in comparison with that of the left eye.
