I．緒言
緑膿菌による眼感染症は近年抗生物質療法の普及と共に，菌交代症として重要な感染症をおこすようになつた1）。又フルオレスチン溶液を汚染する菌として知られている1）2）。今回某地某医により角膜異物除去後に続発した緑膿菌による角膜膿瘍5例を経験したのを機に症例報告と緑膿菌に対する2〜3の実験を試みた。
Five cases of corneal abscess due to pseu-domonas aeruginosa occurring after removal of corneal foreign bodies were reported.
Typical colonies of pseudomonas aeruginosa were demonstrated in the cultures of the corneal pus, and inoculations of the bacteria to rabbit corneas produced same abscess.
The viability of this organism was about 7 days at room temperature.
Sensitivity tests on culture material revea-led marked inhibition of growth by AgNO3, pyoctanin and colistin.
By the local use of these drugs we could save the eyes.
