緑内障に対する20％Mannitolの効果

The hypotensive effect of 20% Mannitol in the glaucomatous eyes.

I．まえがき

　MannitolのOsmotic agentsとしての眼圧下降作用については，Weiss et al　（1962）^1）Smithand Drance　（1962）^2），Weiss et al．　（1963）^3），Adams et al．　（1963）^4），Galin et al．　（1963）^5），須田他（1963-64）^6）7），小野他（1964）^8）等多くの報告があり，その効果が確認されているが，外国例を除けば，すべて15％　Mannitolが使用されている。我々は今回20％　Mannitolを使用する機会を得，緑内障患者にこれを使用し見るべき効果があつたので報告する。

The authors studied the hypotensive effect of 20% Mannitol (Nikken Kagaku) in glau-comatous eyes. Two cases of acute congestive glaucoma, ten cases of chronic congestive gl-aucoma and two cases of secondary glaucoma were tested.

Mannitol was given by intravenous drip. Infusion time varied from 40 minutes to 90 minutes; total dosage varied from 1.3 to 2.3 gm. per kilogram. The changes of the ccular tension were observed.

The ccular tension resulted in remarkable decrease after the administration in all types of glaucomatous eyes.
