Abstract 文献概要

　網膜色素変性症（以下網色変と略記）の予後は概して不良である。34〜38年に亘る5年間に同症5例に対して東洋医学的治療を施し，或る程度の効果がみられた。本実験例は極めて少数例ではあるが，従来の諸治療に比べて相当の見るべき効果があつたと思われるので，一応報告する次第である。

Therapeutic outcomes are reported in five cases of pigment degeneration of the retina, treated after the traditional Oriental Medicine through medical and alimentary means. 3 cases were in an advanced, and 2 cases in a comparatively early stage of the disease.

The course of the disease took a serious turn when patients did not keep the prescribed dietary regimen. The visual acuity and field, night blindness, refraction and general con-dition of the patients improved on as long as they took good care of the given alimentary prescription.
