I．緒言

　近視の治療に就ては古来幾多の方法が行われているが必ず治る方法は勿論ない。それは近視の本態や原因が未だ明かでなく，色々の複雑な問題が沢山あるからである。併し治る近視と治らない近視の目標が少しでも分ると臨床家にとって大いに役立つ事と思われる。此の点にも注意しながら色々の治療法を行って見た。V．B₁と眼疾患との関係は昔から多く論ぜられ，且つその応用に就ても今更此処に述べるまでもないが，近視に対する大量投与に就ては余り報告を見ない。今回私はThi—amine Propyl disulfide （TPD）並にThia—mine tetrahydrofurfuryl disulfide　（TTFD）の大量を若年者の近視に使用する機会を得たので此処に中間報告する次第である。

1) Thiamine tetrahydrofurfuryl disulfide (TTED) was given in a daily dose of 50-100 mg. in 28 cases of juvenile myopia. A satisfa-ctory effect was obtained in 22 cases there was no response in 6 cases.

2) Thiamine propyldisulfide (TPD) was given in a daily dose of 50-150mg in 15 ca-ses. It was effective in 13 cases but in effec-tive in 2 cases.

3) These substances appear to be more effective in proportion to the age of the pa-tient and when no conus is noted, and the younger the patient, the greater was the effect. Therefore, it is suggested that they be tried even in cases where other treatme-nt has failed.
