I．序

　遺伝性疾患のgenetic carrier （以下単にcar—rierと省略する）の発見は，遺伝医学に於ける重要な課題の一つであり，特にかかる疾患の多い眼科領域では今後の発展に俟つところが多い分野である。

　先天色覚異常に関して，異常者の検出法やその特性についての研究に多々なされているのに反して，carrierに関しては著者が前報^1）に紹介した程度の業蹟しか見当らない。異常者に対する治療法がない現在，carrierの発見は異常者の職業適性の問題と共に非常に重要な問題と言わねばならない。

The color discrimination of 70 genetic carriers of both protan and deutan types of color deficiency has been examined, and ordinary color vision tests have also been carried out.

The results are follows :

1) The test for color discrimination has been done on the color discrimination test made by Japan Color Research Institute. The results showed that 52.9% of the carriers had normal sensitivity to differences in hue, 30% inferior sensitivity to it though they were overlapping the normal range and the rest (17.1%) took abnormal values apart from the normals.
