要約　目的：マイトマイシンCを併用した初発翼状片の切除術後の自発的瞬目の変化の報告。対象と方法：過去6か月間に同一術者によりマイトマイシンCを併用した初発翼状片の切除術が行われた5例6眼を対象とした。全例が女性で，平均年齢は68.6±6.9歳である。高精度瞬目解析装置を用いて，両眼の自発性瞬目を術前と術後3か月で測定した。結果：術後3か月に翼状片の再発はなかった。瞬目の回数，上眼瞼移動距離，瞬目時の移動距離，瞬目時間には，術前と比較して術後3か月で有意差がなかった。結論：マイトマイシンCを併用した初発翼状片の切除術では，その3か月後には瞬目に及ぼす影響が少なかった。

Abstract.　Purpose：To report changes in spontaneous blinking after excision of incipient pterygium with adjunctive use of mitomycin C. Cases and Method：This study was made on 6 eyes of 5 patients who received excision of incipient pterygium with adjunctive use of mitomycin C during the past 6 months by one surgeon. All were females. The age averaged 68.6±6.9 years. Spontaneous blinking was recorded by a high-speed blink analysis system before and 3 months after surgery. Results：There was no recurrence of pterygium at 3 months after surgery. There was no change in blinking before and 3 months after surgery regarding its frequency, displacement of upper eyelid, or velocity. Conclusion：There was no change in blinking 3 months after excision of incipient pterygium with adjunct use of mitomycin C.
