　江口式結膜弁移植法とマイトマイシンCの術中塗布による翼状片手術を22眼に行った。19眼が初回手術で，3眼が再手術であった。結膜弁は17眼では下方，5眼では上方に作成した。術後3か月以上の観察で，19眼（86％）で治癒が得られた。再発は，結膜弁を下方に作成した17眼中2眼（12％）と，上方に作成した5眼中1眼（20％）に起こった。初回手術では1眼（6％）に，再手術では2眼（50％）に再発した。以上の成績は，今回の術式が再発率が低く，有用であることを示している。

We performed pterygium surgery on 22 eyes with adjunct use of mitomycin C and conjunctival graft. Surgery was performed as the first procedure in 19 eyes and as the secondary one in 3 eyes. Conjunctival graft was placed inferiorly in 17 eyes and superiorly in 5 eyes. Cure of pterygium was obtained in 19 eyes (86%) after the follow-up for 3 months or longer. Pterygium recurred in 2 eyes (12%) when the graft was placed inferiorly and in 1 eye (20%) when placed superiorly. It recurred in 1 eye (6%) after first surgery and in 2 eyes (50%) after secondary one. The findings show the usefulness of this procedure because of low rate of recurrence.
