要約　63歳男性と65歳女性に眼外傷が幼少時にあり，約50年前に眼球内容除去術とカフス型義眼台挿入術を受けた。最近になって義眼の偏位や脱出が顕著になり，装用が困難になった。義眼台と残存している強膜を摘出したのち，バイオセラミック義眼台を挿入し，摘出した強膜で義眼床を再建した。以後2年間の観察で，義眼床に感染や異物反応はなく，義眼台は眼窩内に安定していた。義眼台を覆う強膜に縫着した四直筋は，術直後から他眼と協調する良好な動きを示した。

Abstract.　Two patients,aged 63 and 65 years each,suffered unilateral eye injury during childhood. They received evisceration of eyeglobe and insertion of orbital implant shaped like a cuff link about 50 years before. They came to us with the complaint that the prosthesis frequently became displaced or prolapsed. After removal of orbital implant and the remaining portion of the sclera,a new orbital implant,made of bioceramic material,was inserted. The eye socket was reconstructed using the removed scleral tissue. The orbital implant has remained stable with no infection or rejection during two years after surgery. The four rectus muscles sutured to the sclera have shown good motility coordinating with the intact fellow eye.
