眼科救急疾患最近3年間の統計―東海大学救命救急センター開設当初3年間との比較

A three-year review of ophthalmic emergency cases: Comparison with the first three-year statistics of our emergency service

　2002年までの3年間に，東海大学医学部附属救急救命センターを受診した眼科疾患を検索し，1984年にセンターが開設してからの3年間の状況と比較した。最近3年間では，全救急患者の4.66％に相当する3,744例が眼科関係であった。開設当時の3年間では2,327例が眼科関係であり，受診者数は増加したが，全救急患者に対する割合は減少していた。年齢が高齢化する傾向があった。疾患別では角膜障害が最も多く，緊急性の低い疾患が大多数を占める点では，開院当初と同様であった。当院では3次救命センターとして，ドクターヘリコプターによる患者搬送を2000年に開始した。眼科患者の利用は少ないが，今後の活用が期待される。

　We reviewed 3,744 patients who visited our emergency service for eye problems during 3 years from 2000 through 2002. The findings were compared with those during the first 3 years of our service from 1984 through 1986. In the recent 3 years,the eye patients accounted for 4.66％of all patients seen by our service. During the first 3 years,2,327 patients sought ophthalmological care. During the intervening 16 years,eye patients increased in number but decreased when compared with the total number of patients seen at our service. There was a tendency for the age to increase during the intervenine years. Affections of the cornea were the most frequent,followed by those with less need of emergency care. Since 2000,we started transportation of patients utilizing a“doctor helicopter”. The system will facilitate more prompt care of patients in need.
