　小児悪性脳腫瘍（medulloblastoma 2例，medullomyoblastoma 1例）における末梢血幹細胞移植（PBSCT）の併用による大量化学療法の有効性と造血機能の回復を検討した。

　末梢血幹細胞は大量化学療法に先立ってG-CSF投与によって動員・採用された。大量化学療法はMCNUが初日に250mg／m²，6日目に200mg／m²，CBDCA（800mg／m²）が2日目から3日間，VP−16（400mg／m²）が2日目から4日間投与され，9日目にPBSCTを行った。全例が大量化学療法で増強域は消失した。1例は1年7カ月後も腫瘍の再発がないが，2クールの治療を受けた例は呼吸窮迫症候群で死亡した。再発時に本法が行われた例は，5カ月後に腫瘍が増大して播種した。PBSCTによって全例で造血機能は速やかに回復した。PBSCTは小児悪性脳腫瘍の大量化学療法を含めた化学療法において骨髄機能抑制克服の観点から有用である。

The aim of this study was to evaluate efficacy of high dose chemotherapy and restoration of hamatopoiesis following peripheral blood stem cell transplantation (PBSCT).

Three patients with pediatric malignant brain tumors (two medulloblastomas and one medul-lomyoblastoma) underwent high dose chemothera-py including CBDCA, VP-16, and MCNU with PBSCT. Postcontrast-MR images revealed no abnormal enhancing lesions after high dose chemothepapy in all patients.
