　近年，大脳辺縁系が大いに注目されている。我々は嗅隆起，外視交叉前野などで傷をいれた家兎と猫で，従来あまり注意されなかつたようにみえる線維の変性をNauta法で追究することができたので，ここに報告して，御批判を乞いたいと思う。

The course of degenerating axons was tra-ced in one cat and six rabbits with lesions in the olfactoty tubercle, preoptic area and amygdaloid body by the Nauta method. As a contrast of accessory damages in the neo-cortex, centrum semiovale and internal cap-sule in these cases, the anterior part of the lateral hemisphere was sucked out in another rabbit. The principal results obtained are sum-marized as follows:

1. The medial forebrain bundle descends through the ventromedial part of the mesen-cephalic tegmentum to reach the region just dorsolateral to the interpeduncular nucleus. At the superior mesencephalic level a small part of the medial forebrain bundle sweeps dorsalward, following the fibrae rectae, to enter the ventral part of the central gray substance. Another small part of the bundle crosses and reaches the opposite region of the medial forebrain bundle.
