　内頸動脈レントゲン写真正面像に於ける前大脳動脈の一側方への偏位は，他側大脳半球に於けるexpanding lesionの存在を示す重要な所見として注目されている　前大脳動脈と同じく，頭蓋の正中矢状面上に位置している内大脳静脈もこれと同様に，一側大脳半球に於けるexpanding les-ionによって反対側に偏位する。吾々は脳動脈撮影に際し同時に脳静脈撮影を併せ行い，大脳半球部のspace taking lesionに際し内大脳静脈の側方偏位を認め，これを前大脳動脈の側方偏位と比較観察し，大脳正中矢状面の歪みを一層詳細に把握せんとした。

The lateral shift of internal cerebral veinin antero-posterior cerebral phlebogram isthe most valuable finding as the lateral shiftof anterior cerebral artery, demonstratingthe existence of space taking lesion in onecerebral hemisphere. The comparison of theshift of two vessels (anterior cerebral arteryand internal cerebral vein) may bring thedetailed understanding on the lateral displace-ment of mid sagittal plane in intracranialmass lesions.

The greater degree of lateral shift of an-terior cerebral artery is associated with fron-tal and fronto-parietal lesions, and maximallateral displacement of internal cerebral veinoccurs with temporal and occipital lobe le-sions. The diffuse involvement of hemispheremay produce the equal displacement of twovessels or somewhat greater shift of internalcerebral vein.
