抄録 haloperidol非経口投与によるウサギの血漿CPK値の継時的変化を調べた。
(1)haloperidolの静脈内投与ではCPK値は上昇しない。
The authors investigated the time courses of the creatine phosphokinase (CPK) activity caused by haloperidol injected into rabbits (New Zealand White strain, males, aged 21 to 23 weeks, 2. 79-3.64 kg).
1. The intravenous injection of haloperidol had no effect on plasma CPK activity.
2. The plasma CPK activity was elevated to 414 IU/L, 6 hours after the intramuscular injection of a haloperidol vehicle. It returned to the normal range within 24 hours.
3. The plasma CPK activity peaked at 930 IU/L, 12 hours after the intramuscular injection of haloperidol. It returned to the normal range within 48 hours.
Haloperidol itself rather than the haloperidol vehicle caused the increased plasma CPK activity, when injected intramuscularly. These findings suggest that the plasma CPK elevation may be the result of a local muscle trauma caused by the intramuscular injection of haloperidol.
