　わが国にも縁の深い李鎬榮先生の案内で，小倉金曜会の会員8名が韓国の精神科領域3施設を訪れた。まず金成洙司祭によって創設された知的障害者が暮らす「江華わが村」，ついでトラウマに悩む患者を主にEMDRで治療する金崚基先生の精神科診療所，最後に訪れたソウルのサムソン病院では，精神科の他に院内の葬儀部門も見学した。あわせて韓国の精神科医療の歴史も略述した。

　In September 2013, eight members of Kokura Friday Club visited three psychiatric facilities in Seoul. Our guide was Dr. Lee Ho Young, former chancellor of Ajou University and former chairman of the department of psychiatry, Yonsei University School of Medicine. We visited the following institutions：1)“Kwangwha Our Village,” founded by Bishop Kim Sung Soo (former president of Sung Kong Hoe University) which houses mentally retarded/autistic persons and provides them with employment in a beansprout factory；2) “Mind and Mind Clinic,” owned by Dr. Kim Joon Ki, where marital therapy and post-trauma therapy are practiced with psychotherapy and EMDR techniques；and 3) the Department of Psychiatry of Samsung Medical Center. The Medical Center has 2,000 beds and receives 8,000-9,000 outpatients daily. The psychiatric service has four sections：general psychiatry, child psychiatry, specialized psychiatry (depression, oncopsychiatry, etc.) and a day-care center. The funeral facility affiliated with the hospital is well equipped and very active. In the early part of the paper, the authors provide a brief history of Korean psychiatry since 19^th century.
