著者等は曩に血圧と脈波伝達速度との関連について報告し1），脈波伝達速度からHillの式2）に従つて算出した動脈壁の伸展性が，本態性高血圧症患者では正常者に比較して，小さいことを明かにした。
本論文では眼底に何等かの変化が見られた本態性高血圧症患者を対象とし，脈波伝達速度及びこれより算出した伸展性と眼底所見とを比較検討し，以下の如き結果を得たので報告する。
The velocity of pulse wave of 47 hypertensive patients was measured by the method which had been reported in the previous communication1) and the expansibility of arteries was calculated by Hill's equation2). These values were compared with the ophthalmologic classification, that is, of Keith-Wagener and of the sclerotic changes.
There was no remarkable relation between the ophthalmologic findings and the pulse wave velocity as well as the expansibility of arteries.
