家族内感染が疑われた幼児のTrichophyton tonsuransによる体部白癬

・幼児顔面のTrichophyton tonsurans感染例を経験した．・父親が相撲部のコーチをしており，父を感染源とした家族内感染が疑われた．・症例は内服にて治癒したが，今後の再感染を防ぐためには父親，他の家族，および父親がコーチを務める相撲部における本症感染者の検索が望まれる．（「症例のポイント」より）

A child case of tinea corporis caused by Trichophyton tonsurans suspected to be an intrafamily transmission

Abstract A two-year-old girl visited our hospital suffering from intractable itchy and erythematous lesions on her left auricle. Her previous treatment with betamethasone valerate/gentamicin sulfate ointment was not successful. Her father was a coach of sumo wrestler club with a history of Trichophyton tonsurans infection. Clinical examinations showed few scaly erythematous lesions, which were approximately 1 cm in diameter, with clearing centers on her left auricle and under the jaw. T. tonsurans was detected from the scale using direct microscopy and culture-based identification methods. Following 9 days of treatment with 62.5mg/day of terbinafine, the lesions disappeared.
