Team Building Between Anesthesiologists and Perianesthesia Nurses：An Introduction to the Latest Work Regulations

要旨

　高齢者人口の増加に伴い，手術件数は増加の一途である。麻酔科医には集中治療室，産科病棟，放射線部などでの手術室外業務もある。われわれは2014年に麻酔科診療をサポートする周麻酔期看護師（perianesthesia nurse：PAN）をメンバーに加えた。本論文では，横浜市立大学附属病院におけるPANの麻酔業務についての最新の就業規則（2023年に更新）を紹介する。PANの認定基準，管理体制，対象患者，業務範囲，インフォームドコンセントなどについて規定している。

　The number of surgeries conducted worldwide continues to increase as elderly populations grow, and nowadays, anesthesiologists work not only in surgical settings but also in settings such as intensive care units, maternity wards, and radiology departments. Since 2014, our hospital’s anesthesia team has included perianesthesia nurses（PANs）who support the anesthesia care provided by anesthesiologists. Here, we present the latest employment regulations for PANs, updated in 2023, implemented at Yokohama City University Hospital. The regulations include：（ⅰ）criteria for authorizing PANs,（ⅱ）a management system for PANs,（ⅲ）details regarding patients who are eligible for the anesthesia assistance provided by PANs with anesthesiologists,（ⅳ）the scope of PANs’ work, and（ⅴ）the requirement of patients’ informed consent.
