びまん性に著明な卵殻状石灰化が認められた食道平滑筋腫の1例

A case of esophageal leiomyoma with diffuse and marked oval calcifications

食道平滑筋腫は食道に発生する良性腫瘍^1）であり，全食道腫瘍の約0.4％^2），食道良性腫瘍の約60～70％^3）を占める。石灰化をきたすのは約1.8％とまれであり^2），その場合は胸部中部食道で認められることが多い。今回，巨大食道憩室をフォローアップ中に，下部食道にびまん性に著明な卵殻状石灰化を伴う食道平滑筋腫が認められた症例を経験したため報告する。

Esophageal leiomyoma is a benign tumor, accounting for about 0.4％ of all esophageal tumors and 60-70％ of benign esophageal tumors. About 90％ of esophageal leiomyoma occurs in the middle to lower esophagus of the thoracic region, and are more common in males and middle-aged and elderly persons. Calcification is rare, occurring in only about 1.8％ of cases, and when it does occur, it is often seen in the middle thoracic esophagus. We report a case of esophageal leiomyoma with diffuse and marked oval calcification in the lower esophagus.
