Breast PET

乳癌の画像診断におけるFDG-PET検査の有用性は高く，乳癌に対するFDG-PET検査数（2021年）は，肺癌，悪性リンパ腫に続いて第3位となっている^1）。2013年には乳房専用PET（以下，乳房PET）検査が保険適用となり，臨床での使用は9年ほど経過した。本稿では，乳房PET装置の特徴と，これまでに明らかになった臨床的有用性，および現在抱える課題と将来の展望について概説する。

Breast PET is the first organ-specific PET to be covered by public insurance in Japan as a proximity PET scanner. In this chapter, the high resolution of breast PET is explained mainly from a technical point of view, in line with the theme of ” the latest breast imaging technology.

In addition, previous reports related to breast PET, such as breast cancer screening, development of a terminology（lexicon）for findings, and reduced exposure imaging, were summarized, and the challenges facing breast PET（blind areas and new PET tracers for breast cancer）were presented.
