CT diagnosis of bowel ischemia

腸管虚血は時間経過とともに腸管壊死や穿孔をきたし，ときに致死的となりえる。このため画像で腸管虚血を迅速に診断，的確な治療に導くことは非常に重要である。腸管虚血は様々な病態によって引き起こされるが，それぞれの病態で腸管虚血に至る経過が異なっており，この違いを十分に把握したうえで画像診断を行う必要がある。よって本稿ではまず腸管虚血の定義や様々な病態における腸管虚血について紹介し，次にそれぞれの病態に基づいた腸管虚血を疑わせるCT画像所見について症例を提示しながら概説する。

Bowel ischemia is a condition with high mortality and requires rapid intervention to avoid catastrophic outcomes. Computed tomography（CT）examination is useful in diagnosing bowel ischemia. Nevertheless, the evaluation of bowel ischemia at CT can be challenging because CT findings vary widely depending on the cause and underlying pathophysiology. This review will address characteristic CT appearance of bowel ischemia and the variations associated with each cause and underlying pathophysiology with the aim of accurate interpretation of CT images in the diagnosis of bowel ischemia.
