A new method of patients’ respiratory control by themselves for precise radiotherapy

体幹部の臓器や病変は，その部位によっては自由呼吸下で20mm以上の呼吸性の移動が生じる場合がある。放射線治療を行う際，呼吸性移動の制御は照射野を決定する重要な項目となる。ターゲットの呼吸性移動は，治療計画においてinternal margin（IM）として設定され，その動きに対する補償をしている。呼吸を制御してIMを縮小することは，不要に照射野を拡大することなく正常組織の有害事象を低減するものである。

In our previous radiation therapy, we had looked at the respiratory status of patients in monitors with matching skin markers and laser lines for isocenter decision. Now, we improve the method with stopping the same breath status reliably by their own. We have added a mirror for the patients’ own control to check the breathing status and the treatment positions easily and reproducibility.
