腰椎疲労骨折は左右の椎弓でそれぞれ独立しているが，まれに棘突起基部を横断し左右の椎弓に及ぶ骨折像を呈することがある．これを非定型的腰椎疲労骨折と仮称し，3例の報告を行った1）が，いずれの症例も受診時に骨折が完成しており，その発生機転も推測でしかなかった．
