Subjective well-being of elderly patients suffering from the sequela of cerebrovascular disease were quantitatively estimated by the Philadelphia Geriatrc Morale Scale (PGC), as affected by occupational therapy or other factors. Patients receiving occupational therapy showed higher PGC scores, as compared with those who received no therapy, indicating that the therapy exerted a favourable effect on the sujective well-being of the patients. The feelings were also found to be affected by sex, males being found to be more effectively affected by the therapy.
