LigaSureTMを用いた内視鏡補助下甲状腺手術の経験

Video-assisted surgery using LigaSureTM

　内視鏡補助下甲状腺手術にバイポーラー型血管閉鎖装置であるLigaSure^TM（タイコヘルスケアグループ米国バリーラブ社）を使用した．LigaSure^TMの利点として，キャビテーションやアクティブブレードによる損傷の心配がない，シールに要する時間が短いといった点が考えられた．LigaSure^TMのみで甲状腺周囲の脈管，甲状腺実質の切離を行うことも可能であり，内視鏡補助下甲状腺手術の安全性の向上，簡素化に有用であると思われた．

A new type of tissue sealing system, LigaSure^TM, was used for the operation of video-assisted neck surgery. The advantages of the LigaSure^TM were that there was no cavitation or damage by active blade, and we were able to seal tissues more quickly. Using the LigaSure^TM alone, we could seal most vessels and divide the thyroid gland. The LigaSure^TM was considered to make the video assisted neck surgery more simple and to improve the safety.
