  • Look Inside

Progress of the thoracoscope has contributed greatly to surgery for sympathetic nerve function. Even now there are a couple of surgical procedures, such as thympathectomy and sympathicotomy, which consists of ab-lation and clipping method. Although the target level of sympathetic nerve is different according to pathogene-sis, there is no exact consensus for the cutting line of the thoracic sympathetic nerve. This maybe due to the fussy characteristic of sympathetic nerve for both its anatomy and physiology, and to uncertain complications, such as compensatory hyperhidrosis.
