Our Contrive in Video-assisted Neck Surgery for a Good View: The Usefullness of Self-made Kirschner Wire Retractor

　Video-assisted neck surgery（VANS）においては，視野が限られており，胸鎖乳突筋や前頸筋群をいかに圧排するかが良好な視野を確保するうえで重要となる．われわれは，これらの筋群の圧排にキルシュナー鋼線を加工した自家製の筋鉤を使用している．この方法では鉗子類の交錯も少なく，鋼線で皮膚を貫くため皮膚切開を追加する必要はなく，整容的にも優れており，VANSにおいて有用と考えられた．

In the operation of Video assisted neck surgery, to make a good view in the limited working space, it is impor-tant to exclude the sterunocleidomastoido muscle, sternothyroid muscle and omohyoid muscle. To overcome this issue, we used a self-made kirschner wire retractor. This retractor rarely conflicts with other devices, and has an advantage in cosmeciticy, because no additional skin incision are needed to insert. We believe this retractor is useful in Video-assisted neck surgery.
