We have successfully treated 15 patients with sub-mucosal tumor (SMT) of the stomach with laparoscopic wedge resection. The operative procedure and the out-come are as follows ; by grasping the intact wall of thestomach near the lesion with two clamps, the lesion was pulled up and resected with Endo GIA (US Surgical, USA). The size of tumors ranged from 9 to 60 mm in diameter and all specimens had sufficient distance from the surgical margin. The average operation time was 135 minutes. All patients could start diet on 1POD and were discharged within 7 days uneventfully.
