Anaphylaxis is a severe, life-threatening allergic reaction. It must be treated immediately. In patients after an anaphylactic reaction with upper airway obstruction, immediate and appropriate airway management is required. Before being brought to the emergency department, calling for help, and conducting a briefing, emergency treatment is performed. The first step in the acute therapy of anaphylaxis is to administer adrenaline. If the upper airway obstruction is severe, immediate airway protection is imperative. We should carefully select the indications for anesthesia and drugs, because sedatives and neuromuscular blockade may result in complete airway obstruction. The intubation device is selected in consideration of the patient's risk and the operator's experience. If we cannot successfully perform tracheal intubation and cannot ventilate, a surgical airway should be obtained. Finally, it is also important to ebrief.
