RESEARCH: Colorimetric Rate Method for the Determination of Creatinine as Implemented by the Beckman Creatinine Analyzer 2

　Beckman Creatinine Analyzer 2（Jaffe変法を用いたkinetic比色分析計）の作動特性を検討した，この分析計は最低300mg/lまで直線性があり，50mg/lのクレアチニン標準液における精密度は1.1％であった．50mg/lクレアチニン標準液の日差変動は5.0％以下であった．この分析計による測定結果は，Jaffeの用手法，CentrifiChemSystem 400，Technicon^TM SMA^TM 6/60 System，Trace^TM system I，IIIと良い相関を示した．可能性のある19の血清成分と32の薬剤による妨害は認められなかった．Creatinine Analyzer 2では直線性が延長したため，定期的に血液透析を行う患者の検体を直接測定することが可能となった．

We evaluated the performance characteristics of the Beckman Creatinine Analyzer 2, a kinetic colorimetric analyzer which utilizes a modified Jaffe reagent. The instrument gave linear measurements to at least 300 mg/L and its within-run precision on a 50 mg/L creatinine standard was 1.1 percent. Its between-day precision^*1 on the 50 mg/L creatinine standard was less than 5.0 percent. Its results correlated well with those from the manual Jaffe, CentrifiChem System 400, Technicon^TM SMA^TM 6/60 System, and Trace^TM systems I and III. Interferences^*2 from 19 possible serum constituents and 32 drugs were almost nonexistent. The extended linear range of the Creatinine Analyzer 2 allowed the direct assay of samples from patients undergoing periodic^*3 hemodialysis.
