Progress in personalized medicine using pharmacogenetic testing

　遺伝情報が蓄積されるにしたがい，その活用が重要な課題となっている．遺伝子解析技術の進歩により研究室の中でしかできなかった遺伝子解析が病院検査室で可能となってきた．ファーマコゲノミクスもエビデンスの蓄積が進み，臨床現場で活用できるようになり，一部保険適用となってきている．ファーマコゲノミクス検査の考え方や実際の検査法をご紹介し，さらにファーマコゲノミクス検査の問題点などについて言及したい．

A large amount of genetic data and drug-response genotyping techniques play an important role in movement of pharmacogenetic study into the clinical arena.　A number of practical problems can simultaneously arise in the clinical application.　Those are ethical problem, analytical technique, cost and clinical efficacy, and so on.　The development of analytical equipment and accumulation of clinical data enable some pharmacogenetic tests to be applied in routine diagnostic tests to predict drug response.　Pharmacogenetic testing should be integrated with drug therapy, so-called companion diagnosis, and provide clinically useful and personalized information to the patient and physician.
