糖尿病患者にみられた両側突発性難聴

Bilateral Sudden Deafness in a Diabetic Female

I．はじめに

　糖尿病患者に伴う聴覚障害は日常臨床上よく遭遇するが，この聴覚障害は徐々に進行するものが一般的である。しかし中には突発性に発症するものがKleyn^1），切替ら^2）をはじめ現在までに数例報告されている。またこの突発性難聴が両側に発症した例は文献を渉猟しえた限りきわめて稀である。

　今回われわれは糖尿病患者にみられた両側突発性難聴を経験したので報告する。

　Bilateral sudden deafness occurred in a 36-year-old female was reported. She has had diabetes mellitus, obesity and hypertension since eight years ago, but no treatment for diabetes has been performed. It is suggested from the analysis of clinical and laboratory test that this bilateral sudden deafness was caused by microangiopathy of diabetes. We speculate that unilateral sudden deafness by diabetes mellitus has higher possibility to develop bilateral sudden deafness.
