甲状腺未分化癌に対する化学療法の経験

Chemotherapy for Anaplastic Carcinoma of Thyroid: A Case Report

I．はじめに

　甲状腺癌に対しては放射線治療はもちろん化学療法もあまり効果がないのが通説である。しかし分化型腺癌ではそうであっても未分化癌に対しては化学療法が時に効を奏することがあるようで，たとえ一定期間の寛解であれ希望が与えられる。われわれは66歳男子の甲状腺未分化癌に対し化学療法を行ったところ，一時的ではあったが認むべき効果を収めることができたので報告する。

　A 66-year-old man had a 4-years' history of a gradually enlarged mass in the right anterior neck. The tumor was suddenly enlarged up to 5. 5×4. 5 cm and fixed to the surrounding tissue. Pathologic diagnosis was papillary adenocarcinoma with anaplastic cancer cells. Four days after operation, bilateral multiple nodal lung metastases were noted on a chest x-ray film. Almost complete response of the pulmonary tumors occurred about one month after intravenous administration of MTX 4g and EX 500mg.
